Every Christian’s Purpose (no need to keep looking)

“The purpose of life is a life of purpose.”  ― Robert Bryne Have you ever questioned your worth? Your purpose? Why you were born into this world in the first place?  I have. And more than once.  What do you have

Are You Shouldering a Burden That Is Not Yours To Carry?

When my youngest recently broke his thumb, I took him to an orthopedic surgeon to fix it. When one of my children scraped a knee or elbow, I grabbed some ointment and a band-aid to fix it.   When my computer quit

You Have a Lot To Offer; Don’t Excuse Yourself From God’s Plan

You and me — we have a lot to offer. I know it doesn’t always feel that way. In fact, for some of us it seldom does.  But we do. God didn’t just birth us on earth to wander aimlessly. He

When You Have Nothing To Offer You Really Have Everything To Give

It was but a few years ago I made the hesitant decision to be a writer. To be an encourager through my words. And it’s been wonderful and not so wonderful, easy and difficult, satisfying and anxiety-ridden.  I stepped in

For Such a Time as This … Are You Being Called To Act or Grow?

Sometimes we get ahead of ourselves. More accurately, we get ahead of God’s plan for our lives. Sometimes God gives us a vision for the future, and in our impatience we claim it for now.  The Lord may place passion

Why You Should Persist in the Uncomfortable

“I love being a housewife and mother,” I said to my husband. This declaration came in the midst of a long, hot day of blanching and cutting sweet corn off the cob. Even after 9 hours and 40 quarts, I remained

Are You a “Maddie Hatter”? (Answering God’s Call)

Thanks for stopping!

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's BLESSINGS to get lost in its HAPPENINGS. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
