Receive Your Beautiful Inheritance – a Free Gift

“Indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance” (Psalm 16:6b). Not long ago, I passed a lady walking on the side of the road. Slim and toned, she seemed so put together.  I didn’t know her, but my mind began to taunt

An Easy and Rewarding Way to Notice God’s Presence Every Day

Have you noticed that we don’t often think about God unless we have a difficult circumstance to bring before Him?  It’s not intentional for most of us. It’s just that in our loud and fast-paced life, God’s quiet presence goes largely

The Value of This Moment (don’t miss it!)

Whatever it looks like, the moment I’m in has value. When will I remember that? Up to my elbows in suds, I silently huffed about  the lack of help I had around the house during this season. With the older two away

You May Be Missing Out: How To Receive the Best Gifts (One Word)

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:11 God offers. How often do we really receive?  I

There Is Always Room For You (Merry Christmas!)

“there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7 NASB For me, Christmas is filled with family, laughter and love. No matter how many are coming, we are always welcome. That may not be the case for you.

How Many Times Have I Missed Blessing Another?

My friend had been on my mind for quite some time. It had been weeks since she’d been moved to her new room in the memory-care wing and I had yet to see it. But that morning? That morning I had so

The One Truth About Each Moment You Don’t Want to Miss

I couldn’t sleep. Tears flowed as I reflected on the past years with my children. Now they were flying the coop. Two off to college; the last two in high school. Vacations all different. Family dynamics skewed. No more seeing

When Every Day Doesn’t Glow With the Beauty of Spring

There’s no ignoring the joy on people’s faces as spring approaches. They anticipate exchanging winter coats for short sleeves and boots for flipflops.  Spirits lift as those first buds open to reveal unfurling bright green leaves. Rains infuse freshness as they wash

Everyday Praise

Thanks for stopping!

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's BLESSINGS to get lost in its HAPPENINGS. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
