What To Remember When Life Grows Complicated

I whispered it to my husband in the quiet of the night.  A feeling that’s been haunting me for much of this year, growing stronger in recent weeks. “Life seems so complicated right now.”  How I long for simpler days.

Find Satisfaction in Your Day

Everyday life has a way of zapping the joy and peace right out of a soul. If we’re not diligent, satisfaction will flee and we’ll be left living a hollow existence.  About a month ago, I jotted down a Scripture verse

The One Thing That Will Get You Through the Fiercest Storm

Sometimes we simply need to know we’re loved.  There he lay. Propped on his side, that little plastic penguin seemed to mock the weight of my sadness.  Less than an hour earlier my usually happy daughter had thrown this favorite little toy in anger

How To Find the Best Shelter When Storms of Life Hit

The best shelter isn’t always where you think.  The storm had been threatening for the last few hours. Finally, the sky released its fury. The rain and wind pummeled us, but it was the lightening that chased us off the

Be a Faithful Witness to Your Script: “And It Was Beautiful” (a review)

Everyday Praise

We were created for praise! Cultivate the practice of glorifying God daily. Let your heart find rest in the shelter of God's goodness.

Thanks for stopping!

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's BLESSINGS to get lost in its HAPPENINGS. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
