Release the Treasure of Today

Each day the burdens weigh heavy. There may be loneliness or illness or lack or overabundance. There might be death or disagreements or separations or hunger.

Even on good days, strife, uncertainty, busyness, or restlessness litter the hours.

This is the life we are called to persevere in. And it is hard!

I awake in the morning ready to tackle the world only sin blocks the way. My sin, his sin, her sin. Does it matter whose? We still fail. We still fall short.

Oh, how wonderful it is then that the tackling isn’t left up to us alone! How fabulous that our strength isn’t all we have.

When our day becomes too hard, when our strength fails, we have One who never will.

Each day carries burdens, yes, but each day is a gift as well. With the Lord’s help—through His mercy—we can unwrap the day, hand Him the burdens, and enjoy the treasures.

Ask the Father of all good things to help you carry your load and release the treasure of today.

His rich blessings will endure forever!

“Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Reflections: What is preventing you from finding the treasure of today? Are you letting the Lord carry your burdens? Have you asked Him?
