The Way to a Full Heart {Again}

The younger one forgets to put his clothes away, and I lose my temper. My girl has an accident, and I break down. They stare at the screen, tuning me out, as my heart aches to share.

It is no good. All broken. All hard.

Repeated failures. Repeated anguish.

So thankful for repeated grace.

Through marvelous grace we find joy in the pieces. Through mercy and love, we come together in forgiveness.

Messes fixed. Laughter restored.

Poor choices are a given. But then so is infinite grace.

I turn again in frustration, ready to give up.

Yet He is there, hand extended in invitation. And I grab it tight-like.

Finding just what I need in the grasp of a nail-scarred hand.

Finding His love and grace. Receiving a heart filled.

Again.

“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with a shout of joy.” Job 8:21

    Isn’t it great how our Lord shares His love and grace with us unconditionally and without merit on our part. I wonder how many times He says “again (insert name here), yet He keeps reaching out. Loved the post.

    Such beautiful words. Today my heart was refilled in so many ways but the one that cause it to overflow was when my 24 year old gave me a kiss on the forehead and an ‘I love you’ when he stopped by the house today with a group of friends.
