Twirling Thru Brokenness to the Song of the Lamb
There are times when I am captivated by the awesomeness of God. When my soul is burning with a love and reverence impossible to contain.
These are the wonderful moments of relationship between Creator and created that were meant to be—that should always be. A drawing near often stirred by majesty, power, and beauty:
splendid mountains at sunset,
the power of a pounding surf,
a spectacular lightening show displayed in the night sky,
the heart-tugging of a long-familiar hymn.
These moments are glimpses, touches of Heaven. Oh, how I want to hold onto that closeness. How I want to prevent the chasm of darkness and sin from again separating us.
What joy if the dance of my life were a perpetual song to You, Lord! An endless song of praise and adoration.

But alas twirling through this world of brokenness, I stumble and miss a beat—my life song incomplete. Yet my hope remains in Christ Jesus.
And, someday, someday sooner than it seems, by God’s grace, I will join the heavenly chorus, forever giving Him glory through the song of the Lamb:
“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed” (Revelations 15:3–4).
Reflections: When do you most feel the presence of the Lord? How would you describe those moments of closeness?
Writing this reminded me of the Casting Crowns song Lifesong. Such a beautiful prayer-song. Enjoy!

I’m so thankful for the hope of Heaven, that one day all Jesus’ people will sing perfectly to Him forever!
Oh, yes, Rachel! Glorious songs to the Most High!
Especially in the deep valleys, I heard in his voice. In the brokenness of life he was closest. https://kostbaar.blogspot.nl/
I wonder if we are just more open to Him in our deepest pain.
